Creating A Safe Workplace for Your Team
Our Working at Heights Refresher Program is designed to educate workers on the proper use of fall protection equipment in order to prevent serious injuries and/or fatalities. This includes the practice of fall arrest systems and other forms of fall protection. This program is designed for experienced construction site workers who have completed the Working at Heights course in the past and are looking for a refresher course to review past practices to help them stay safe on the job.
Who Needs Working at Heights Training?
Under the Occupation Health & Safety Act in Ontario, you need to take this specific training if you plan on working on a construction project that require any of the following fall protection methods: safety nets, work belts, fall arrest systems, travel restraint systems, and fall restricting systems.
The working at heights training is only valid for 3 years after completing it through an approved program. After 3 years, workers are required to complete a refresher program to keep their training valid for another 3 years. You must have completed an approved working at heights training program to be eligible for refresher training. It is your job as an employer to make sure that workers have valid working at heights training and are experienced with the fall protection equipment that they will use on site.
