Book 7 of the Ontario Traffic Manual is all about basic and standard requirements for traffic control in work zones. This pertains to roadway construction, utility construction, roadway maintenance operations and other situations where vehicular traffic on a street, road or highway needs to be diverted, slowed down and/or stopped. Book 7 traffic control training is ideal for employees of city, provincial or federal governments – or for contractors, private construction workers, engineers, designers and anyone else involved in projects where traffic control takes place. The course helps workers assess roadway conditions and traffic volumes; and how to design and implement safe and effective traffic control for temporary conditions on the roadway.
