Why people may be experiencing Covid fatigue is because they can only remain vigilant for so long before they start to become tired. The rules can change so quickly, we are social and to be asked to stay away from people, especially family and friends is just not in our nature.

Expert Tips To Help You Battle Fatigue

  • Get outside as much as possible.
  • Keep structure. Even though you may have less to do, or you may have more to do depending on your job. If you are working from home,  it’s important to not sleep all day,  get dressed every day and go outside, even if it’s for 10 minutes a day, On a sunny day this is really important for your mind and body.
  • Take some big deep breaths if you are feeling anxious. When we get anxious we stop breathing. Find a place to get away from people, pull down your mask and take a deep breath if you’re feeling anxious.
  • Connecting with people is important, and there are still ways to do so during a pandemic. Find new ways to do this.
  • Pick up a new hobby. Even if it’s not ideal it’s important to have some sort of activity that takes your mind off of things.
  • Find healthy outlets and limit alcohol intake: Drinking in isolation is causal to depression.
  • Exercise; It’s important to be active, Exercise can help depression immensely.
  • And most of all, remind yourself that this is temporary.

Check Your Business‘s Covid-19 Protocols!

The Ministry of Labour is now starting to issue fines for violating COVID-19 safety protocols for physical distancing or wearing face coverings as evidenced by this redacted ticket. The penalty is $880 and in this particular case the site superintendent and 2 workers on this Cornwall project were fined. 

This is a good wake-up call to share with your workforce and subtrades and suppliers that becoming complacent can be costly.

It’s the perfect time to also refresh your workplace COVID-19 safety plan because the MOL Officers will start asking to see them on site visits.
