Pain is an important feeling to experience. It lets us know that there is something wrong with our bodies. It’s a way of telling you it’s fixing something, or it needs help fixing something.

But not all pain we experience is the same. Some pains are more intense than others, but don’t last long; others are constant and never seem to go away. Or maybe the pain comes and goes over a period of time.

Although pain varies drastically for many reasons, there 2 main types of pain:

1. Acute Pain

Acute pain lets you know that you may be injured or have a problem you need to take care of straight away.

2. Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is something that lasts longer than 6 months and may last years. This type of pain is often misdiagnosed. It can come from an underlying issue that can be healed.

The best ways to improve your own ability to understand and manage pain are to stay educated, ask questions and stay connected with people that will help you.

Today we have a better understanding of pain and where it originates from. Some of our pain can be taken care of by making modifications to the way we work.
